LESSON THIRTEEN:
“SANCTIFIED VESSELS OF HONOR”
Paul’s central argument is found here in Romans Six
stated as a choice between “sin unto death” verses
“obedience unto righteousness.” Which ever path we
choose is going to lead to slavery. We can be “slaves
of sin” or willing slaves of righteousness.”
It is the choice between “our old man” or “the new
man” in Christ. The problem is the old sin nature, but
the cure is the new nature in Christ.
DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT
TO WHOM YOU PRESENT (YIELD”) YOURSELVES
SLAVES TO OBEY,
YOU ARE THAT ONE’S SLAVE WHOM YOU OBEY,
WHETHER OF SIN OR OF OBEDIENCE
UNTO DEATH, TO RIGHTEOUSNESS?
