LESSON SEVENTEEN:

“TRANSFORMED BY A RENEWED MIND”

The choice is either to remain “conformed to this world”
or “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” This
present world is a “Roman world” with all its
philosophies and cultural trappings of traditions in
opposition to the teachings of Christ. Politics,
commerce and even religion offer Roman-based
solutions that are no different than the un-regenerated
world.

The renewing of the mind centers upon the Word of
God changing how we think about the very world we
live in. Scripture presents a temporal view of all that
can be seen as under a sentence of death, soon to
perish away. With this view in mind, God calls us to
prepare for a new heavens and a new earth in which
true righteousness will reign.
