The final area of this doctrine of “laying on of
hands” is to transmit God’s authority to the people
of God. This area of “laying on of hands” is for the
imparting of gifts and callings of God from one
vessel to another. Moses laid hands of Joshua.
Elijah laid hands of Elisha. Paul laid hands on
Timothy.
